About Blue Ridge Elite

Blue Ridge Elite is Charlottesville’s local travel baseball program. We’re owned and coached by people who live here, not a local affiliate of a national brand. We field teams from 13U through 17U and build every season around two things: real player development and a competitive tournament schedule.

Local, and proud of it

Most travel programs in our area are the regional arm of a national brand. BRE is different. Our directors and coaches live in Charlottesville and Albemarle, coach at local high schools, and run our winter program in a private indoor facility here in town. When you have a question, you’re talking to someone you’ll see at the field on Saturday. And there are no parent coaches on any BRE team.

Player development

Two practices a week in season with daily practice plans, off-season workouts twice a week, and a winter player development program included in the fee. Every team has two professional coaches with college or pro playing experience, and every player gets an assessment at the end of the season so families know where he stands and what to work on.

Competitive schedules

Our 13U and 14U teams play eleven spring tournaments from March into July with six or more premium events: PBR, Triple Crown and Perfect Game. Our 15U and 17U teams play a summer built around exposure, with PBR, Perfect Game and college showcase events, including the PBR National Championships at LakePoint in Atlanta. Most events are in Richmond, Charlottesville, Williamsburg and Harrisonburg.

One fee, no surprises

One competitive program fee covers tournament entry, winter development, in-season practices and coaching. The uniform package is the only other cost. No weekly charges, no card surcharges, no required add-ons.
