2027 Spring & Summer Tryouts
Tryouts for the 2027 spring and summer season are set. Whether your player is new to BRE or returning, here’s everything you need to know.
13U & 14U
Tuesday, October 27

Where: St. Anne’s-Belfield School, 799 Faulconer Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22903
Cost: No fee to try out. Pre-registration is required for every player.
All players must pre-register using the form above. There is no fee to try out, and players only need to attend the session for their age group. Can’t make your date? Email us to ask about a private tryout.
How tryout night works
- Pre-register using the sign-up form. Every player needs to be registered before tryout night.
- Attend your session. 13U & 14U on Tuesday, October 27; 15U & 17U on Wednesday, October 28. Both start at 6:00 PM at St. Anne’s-Belfield.
- Bring a glove, bat, helmet and cleats.
- Roster decisions go out to families shortly after tryouts. Players who are offered a spot receive registration details and a deadline to accept.
The programs
13U & 14U
Spring Program
11 tournaments from March into July with 6+ premium events (PBR, Triple Crown, Perfect Game). Winter development starts in December for 13U and January for 14U. Two practices a week at St. Anne’s-Belfield and Burley, two coaches, and a 13-player roster limit so everyone plays.
15U & 17U
Summer Program
Five or six premium events in June and July (PBR, Perfect Game and college showcases) with local doubleheaders in between. Recent summers include the PBR National Championships at LakePoint. Winter development in January and February, and summer practices at St. Anne’s-Belfield from May so the season fits around high school ball.
What the fee covers
One competitive program fee, billed monthly, covers tournament entry for every event on the schedule, winter player development, two practices a week in season and two coaches on every team. The uniform package is the only other cost, and we tell you what it is up front. No weekly charges, no card surcharges, no required add-ons. Full fee details go out to families with roster offers.
